This auction is for a brand new AEM FIC Fuel/Ignition Controller.
When modifying a car for performance, you increase horsepower by adding more air and more fuel to the engine. But there is more to making power than just adding parts. Tuning the fuel and timing maps on a car's computer can mean the difference between a slow car with lots of money in parts, and a well setup fast car.
When turbocharging or supercharging a car that did not have forced induction from the factory, the stock computer cannot recognize boost, and consequently cannot make tuning changes based on the amount of boost it is seeing. This makes the whole process fairly dangerous. The computer controlling fuel and timing in a forced induction car needs to be able to reference boost so it can control boost vs. fuel, and boost vs. timing. The FIC allows you to do exactly that without having to completely switch over to a full standalone ECU.
The FIC also adds the convenience of allowing the user to switch back and forth between different maps, letting you run seperate maps for race gas, pump gas, nitrous, etc.
But most importantly, the FIC allows you to create boost-related fail-safes. That way if for some reason your wastegate or boost controller fail and you go into an overboost condition, the FIC can recognise that something is wrong, and switch the car over to a safe mode that will prevent it from destroying itself.

We suggest using an AEM Uego Wideband O2 with the use of this computer to monitor the air fuel ratio and keep the fuel and timing levels at a safe setting.
