The powerplants in today's vehicle are extremely efficient as technology
advances every year. Motors are producing more horsepower and torque while
becoming smaller and lighter to increase the overall efficiency of the
vehicle.

In performance applications they always strive to push every ounce of energy
and efficiency out of their engine's but most fail to realize that the more

The radiatior and water pumps are often constructed of metal components
which can take quite a bit of abuse. But most forget that the plumming of
their cooling systems are constructed of flexible soft-rubber hoses that are
easily overwhelmed and can burst under the rigors of competition.

As the coolant in their systems heat up, they attempt to expand; this is why
they upgrade their radiatior caps, so that they can take the added pressure
before opening into an evac or overflow canister. At the same time, the
plumming also begins to expand which can cause cracks to form and burst
overtime due to heat.

hoses. Silicone has a much higher tensile strength than the OEM rubber
